FILM SYNOPSIS
The very smart eighteen year-old, LILY PRASAD plans on two things; becoming a brain surgeon and marrying her high school sweetheart. But when her boyfriend runs of with the reigning Miss India National beauty pageant queen, she decides that she herself must become the new Miss India National! A comedy where Election and Legally Blonde meets the world of Indian-American beauty pageants.

DIRECTOR BIO
Ravi Kapoor is an actor, writer and director based in Los Angeles, though originally from Liverpool. MISS INDIA AMERICA is his first directorial feature, while his short films VICTOR RAMIREZ, ASESINO and THE 5 played and won awards at various fim festivals. As an actor he has guest-starred in many TV showsamerica and movies and was also a series regular on the shows GIDEON'S CROSSING and CROSSING JORDAN for which he also directed. He is also a playwright and wannabe novelist! He is currently in development on his second feature FOUR SAMOSAS
